Senior Human Resources and Recruitment Officer

Description

  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements;
  • Providing staff consultation and grievance procedures;
  • Determining eligibility to entitlements;
  • Arranging staff training and providing information or services such as employee assistance, counseling and recognition programs;
  • Targeting, screening and coordinating interviews with perspective Looka employees;
  • Leading and facilitating strategic talent initiatives for managers and employees;
  • Evaluating current and future hiring requirements, drafting accurate job ads and post on relevant job boards, as well as screening resumes and keeping them collected and organized in the recruitment applicant tracking system;
  • Advising job applicants on role requirements and ensuring they understand what is required fully and expectations are managed;
  • Screening applications based on the job requirements and contact suitable applicants to come in for interviews;
  • Recruiting co-ops from educational institutions;
  • Planning an interview process for each role to make sure candidates are evaluated fully. Working with managers and candidates to coordinate interviews and ensure both parties have everything they need;
  • Drafting offer letters, contracts and informing candidates of the interview outcome and give them offer and full benefit information, as well as negotiating offers;
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures and updating them as needed.
  • Being the main point of contact internally for staff members to escalate grievances and organize the relevant parties to be involved, while maintaining confidentiality;
  • Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process;
  • Handling and being the point of contact for the employee benefit program and providing information to employees for benefits. Additionally, managing learning and development budgets and programs; and
  • Supervising coordinator performing HR & recruitment related tasks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a talent acquisition role in the technology industry;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources in the technology industry;
  • Experience with recruitment and HR for a start-up company;
  • Extensive experience in utilizing Boolean, x-ray and social media searching techniques to source prospective candidates;
  • Extensive experience coaching, advising and training people managers and employees on recruitment, hiring and interview process and laying out a recruitment strategy for open requisitions;
  • Experience recruiting across product, user experience, design, development, marketing and client services;
  • Experience implementing a talent department in a fast-growing company; and
  • Knowledge of design automation, digital design, artificial intelligence and communication.

Hours of Work: 40 hours/week

Salary: $90,000 to $105,000.00
